Organized to Save You Time

Science of Reading Aligned

Trusted by Thousands of Teachers

Sound Familiar?

You’re overwhelmed trying to piece together lessons that meet all of your students' needs.

Planning your small-group reading lessons takes more time than teaching them.

You're not sure how to move students from pictures. . . to labels. . . to sentences.

I’ve been there, too.

I realized the problem wasn’t that I needed to work harder — I needed a clearer system.

Planning literacy shouldn’t require piecing together lessons, activities, assessments, and resources from five different places.

When you have a clear plan for what to teach next and the right resources ready when you need them, planning becomes faster and teaching feels less overwhelming.

That’s why I created Tejeda’s K–1 Literacy Hub — one organized place for ready-to-teach lessons, units, and resources to support every part of your literacy instruction.

Hi, I’m Brenda

I’m a K–1 literacy specialist with 20+ years in education and 17 years as a classroom teacher. I know how overwhelming literacy planning can feel when you’re trying to meet a wide range of student needs while juggling limited time and resources.

Over the years, I’ve spent countless hours studying literacy research, Science of Reading practices, and effective instructional strategies — the kind of deep learning most teachers simply don’t have time to do while managing a full classroom every day. I’ve taken that research and turned it into engaging, practical resources teachers can actually use in real K–1 classrooms.

I continue working directly with students and teachers so the materials inside this hub stay connected to the realities of today’s classrooms — with clear instruction, engaging activities, and resources that work together instead of feeling like scattered pieces.

I created Tejeda’s K–1 Literacy Hub to help teachers spend less time searching for resources and more time feeling prepared and confident in their literacy instruction.

Is The K-1 Literacy Hub For You?

Perfect for you if:

  • You teach kindergarten or first grade and want evidence-based resources aligned with the science of reading
  • You’re supporting students at different levels and need differentiated materials without creating them from scratch
  • You want to stop searching five different websites and have everything organized in one searchable place
  • You want to see your students progress and build confidence in reading and writing

Not for you if:

  • You don’t work with students on a kindergarten or 1st grade level
  • You want formal professional development or certification courses
  • You enjoy creating your own classroom resources from scratch.
